What would you do as a FRONT DESK AGENT- SEASONAL
As a Seasonal Front Desk Agent at Showboat Hotel & Island Waterpark, expect each day to be a delightful whirlwind of guest interactions and hotel magic! You’ll start your day greeting guests with a warm smile, checking them in and ensuring they feel right at home. Answering inquiries, coordinating reservations, and addressing special requests will keep you on your toes, so be ready to showcase your multitasking skills. Expect to assist with problem-solving to ensure every guest's experience is memorable.
Your schedule will be flexible, with rotating shifts that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, allowing you to experience the hotel during its busiest and most exciting times. Each shift brings new opportunities to create smiles, so come prepared to embrace the dynamic environment and make a difference every day!

You’ll need excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling you to connect with diverse visitors and address their needs effectively. A strong interpersonal orientation paired with a commitment to customer service will set you apart, ensuring guests feel valued and welcomed. Attention to detail is crucial—you’ll be handling reservations and billing, so accuracy is key! The ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure will keep you on top of the fast-paced environment, especially during peak times.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with hotel property management systems are also important. Cash handling, basic accounting skills, and a flair for hospitality training or prior hotel front-desk experience will further enhance your success. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are a plus, helping you connect with a broader range of guests!
