Adjunct PT (Day) Clinical Faculty-Respiratory Care Program: Franciscan Children's, Brighton, MA
We are seeking an Adult Critical Care Clinical Instructor in Respiratory Care at Franciscan Children's in Brighton, MA. The clinical instructor will provide clinical instruction and direct supervision to respiratory care students. The instructor must be appropriately credentialed for the content area they teach and be knowledgeable in the subject matter through training and experience. The instructor must be a registered respiratory therapist, hold a Massachusetts Respiratory Care License, and have a current AARC membership.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Conduct student instruction under direct clinical instructor supervision.
Assess student learning outcomes.
Ensure satisfactory completion and validation of students' clinical experiences.
Attend clinical instructor faculty meetings.
Work as a team member on the Respiratory Care Program faculty.
Adhere to course descriptions and syllabi to meet course outcomes.
Tend to Massasoit Community College email and offer email accessibility to students.
Attend department/division meetings as available.
Submit student evaluations as scheduled.
Travel to MCC campus for the first two weeks of the semester and for several clinical instructor meetings, including skills testing sessions (clinical summation) held on campus.
Requirements:
Registered respiratory therapist with a Massachusetts Respiratory Care License and current AARC membership.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of recent developments in respiratory therapy.
Awareness of sensitivity to educational goals of a multicultural population.
Understanding of evidence-based teaching strategies to improve student learning with a range of instructional systems development, tutoring methods, and techniques for student support and success.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy with at least 3 years of clinical experience or an Associate degree in respiratory therapy with a minimum of 5 years clinical experience.
Clinical teaching experience.
Additional Information:
Semester: Academic Year Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 semester.
Position Status: Part Time Day MCCC/MTA position.
Hours: 14 hours per week.
Salary: $55.11 hourly rate ($12,344.64 per semester (16 weeks)). If hired mid‑semester, salary will be pro‑rated based on weeks remaining in the semester.
Worksite: Franciscan Children's, Brighton, MA 02135.
