
Electrical Engineer V, Automated Test Equipment (ATE) Design

Join us as an Electrical Engineer where you will design test equipment to test circuit boards.
Location:
This position does not support teleworking; you will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Huntsville AL and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time.
Key Activities
You will design automated test equipment (ATE), electronic hardware, including signal conditioning equipment and interface with COTS instrumentation for system production tests, system validation and system level field test.
You will work with a team of engineers for the development of Special Test Equipment that requires research, test equipment/system development, for a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including Avionics, Control Systems Telemetry, Electro-Optical and Radiation Detection Equipment; radio and other communications equipment and systems; circuitry components using analog and digital data acquisition and control systems, FPGA, real-time systems, computers; and control and test equipment.
Qualifications
Prior circuit design experience.
8+ years professional experience.
While no clearance is needed to start this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; US Citizenship is required.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
Experience related to circuit design and analysis.
Desired Skills
Understanding of Engineering Circuit fundamentals (analog & digital) and of product configuration control processes.
Experience with designing automated test equipment (ATE), electronic hardware, including signal conditioning equipment and interface with COTS instrumentation for system production tests, system validation and system level field test.
Experience reading schematic diagrams and other technical documentations.
Experience with wire harness design and electronics assembly development and integration with the ability to troubleshoot and isolate the root cause of failure along with developing test plans & procedures traceable to the product and system requirements.
Perform hardware engineering best practices to include requirements analysis, design, and test & integration.
Experience with interactions, planning and coordination with cross-functional development teams and internal & external customers across multiple disciplines.
Able to work autonomously and drive items to closure.
Experience with CREO and Visio.
Ability to travel on occasion.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
