Summer School Clerical Support Temporary Summer Position

Location: Canton High School
Summer School Schedule: 5 Weeks June 22 - July 23, 2025
Monday Thursday Hours: 7:00am - 2:00pm
Minimum Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Ability to organize work and projects.
Ability to take initiative and work independently without direct supervision.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
Working knowledge of Gmail, Google Docs, and MiStar.
Excellent oral and written communication skills including document and letter preparation.
Ability to set, manage, and coordinate multiple priorities.
Good organizational and communication skills.
Good attendance record
Duties & Responsibilities:
Operates copy room equipment, computers, and other equipment used in the production of printed or other audio-visual instructional materials.
Conducts or assists with circulation routines
Assists with information retrieval systems and other technical systems as needed.
Assists in computerized inventory procedures and equipment.
Assists with student and staff requests for copying of materials.
Assists students and staff in using technology equipment and technology related software as needed.
Performs other tasks as assigned.
Bending, lifting, and overhead work required.
Reports To: Summer School Principal
Start Date: June 22, 2026
Salary/Stipend: $2,750.00 paid in two equal installments (July 10 & August 10)

Physical Demands:

Occasionally the employee will bend or twist at the neck more than the average person. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally push or lift up to 50 lbs such as boxes of books. The employee is directly responsible for safety, well-being, or work output of other people. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as to read handwritten or typed material, and the ability to adjust focus.

Terms Of Employment: Upon recommendation for employment, Section 1230g, as amended, of the Revised School Code requires all school employees to be electronically finger printed for the purpose of undergoing a criminal history background check. The fingerprinting is conducted by a third party and is at the expense of the applicant. Cost for fingerprinting is approximately $70.00. Deadline: Open until filled
