Job Summary
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving new business and revenue growth within injection molding and blow molding operations. This role focuses on developing strategic relationships with OEMs and product manufacturers, identifying new program opportunities, and positioning the company as a preferred partner for custom-molded plastic components and products. The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge of molding processes along with a proven ability to win and grow complex manufacturing programs.

Key Responsibilities
Identify and secure new business opportunities within injection molding and blow molding markets (e.g., consumer products, Pharma, automotive, industrial).
Target OEMs and product companies requiring custom plastic components, enclosures, and packaging solutions.
Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, RFQs, quoting, negotiation, and program launch.
Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers in engineering, procurement, and operations.
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to align customer requirements with tooling, design, and production capabilities.
Provide technical guidance on material selection, part design for manufacturability (DFM), and process optimization.
Analyze customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape to drive strategic growth initiatives.
Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities and provide accurate sales forecasting.
Support tooling discussions, program timelines, and cost justification for new and existing business.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
5+ years of business development or technical sales experience in
injection molding and/or blow molding .
Strong understanding of molding processes, tooling, and secondary operations.
Experience selling custom-manufactured plastic components (not commodity products).
Proven track record of winning new business and managing long sales cycles.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Willingness to travel (25–50%).
Preferred Experience
Experience with high-volume production programs and multi-cavity tooling.
Familiarity with materials such as ABS, polycarbonate, nylon, polypropylene, and HDPE.
Background in industries such as medical devices, packaging, automotive, or consumer goods. xywuqvp
