This is a Critical Access Hospital that provides essential healthcare services to the local community. The facility features a dedicated Mother Baby Unit with an inpatient nursery setting and maintains strong support systems for both patients and providers.
Opportunity:
Physician - Hospitalist - Pediatric
Job Details:
Provide pediatric hospitalist coverage in inpatient nursery setting
Coverage needed 1 weekend per month from Friday 7pm to Monday 7am
Schedule includes Friday 7pm-7am, Saturday 7am-7pm, and Saturday 7pm-Sunday 7am
Manage pediatric patient population with average of 0.33 admissions and 1 inpatient per day
Round on Mother Baby Unit floors
Respond to in-house codes for post-delivery resuscitation as needed
Perform newborn resuscitation and newborn care for babies 2000 grams and above
Manage non-invasive ventilation including BiPAP/CPAP
Perform intubation procedures (ETT/INT) when required
Work alongside adult medicine hospitalist during coverage periods
Utilize Meditech EMR documentation system
Must be Board Certified in Pediatrics or Family Practice
Active Massachusetts license preferred
NRP certification required
Credentialing timeframe approximately 3 months
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
