Job Details Location: East Chicago, IN 46312 (Indiana SLP jobs) Assignment Length: 13 weeks Setting: Hospital / Inpatient Acute Care (LTACH experience preferred) Employment Type: Travel Contract (Travel SLP, travel healthcare jobs) Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,100 – $2,260 Hours per Week: 40 Shift: 8-hour days, Monday – Friday Start Date: July start (ASAP available) Qualifications / Job Requirements Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist in acute care, LTACH, or inpatient settings Current, valid state SLP license for Indiana or eligibility to obtain Indiana licensure BLS (Basic Life Support) certification — must be obtained prior to first shift Experience with dysphagia assessment and treatment, bedside swallow evaluations, and instrumental assessments (if available) Strong interdisciplinary teamwork skills; ability to collaborate with physicians, nurses, PT/OT, case management, and nursing leadership Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation experience and familiarity with hospital regulatory standards and clinical documentation requirements ASHA CCC-SLP preferred but not required Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive speech-language and swallowing evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans Provide skilled treatment for communication, cognition, voice, and swallowing disorders in an inpatient hospital setting Manage individual, concurrent, and group therapy sessions based on patient care needs Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify and resolve barriers to discharge and ensure continuity of care Document assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in a clear, concise, and timely manner in the EMR Follow hospital and regulatory safety protocols to promote patient and staff safety Participate in professional development, student supervision, and advocacy efforts as assigned Maintain professional licensure and adhere to discipline-specific codes of conduct and state regulations Why Join This Travel SLP Opportunity?
