Job Requirements — Hospital SLP / Travel SLP Minimum 2 years recent SLP clinical experience in a hospital or similar acute care setting Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or equivalent) Active California State SLP License required at time of submission SLP-CF certification (Clinical Fellowship) required Current BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross) Experience with Epic EHR/charting preferred Strong verbal and written communication, organization, and time-management skills 7-year work history verification required and two professional references within the last year Primary Responsibilities — Hospital-Based Speech-Language Pathologist Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing (dysphagia) disorders Perform bedside swallow evaluations, develop dysphagia management plans, and coordinate instrumental assessments as needed Develop, implement, and update individualized Plans of Care (POC) following Speech Pathology Standards of Practice Document therapy, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately in the EHR (Epic preferred) Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (physicians, nurses, PT/OT, dietitians, case managers) to coordinate patient care Provide clinical supervision to assistants, aides, and students as assigned Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure regulatory and compliance standards are met Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment goals, home programs, and discharge planning Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant clinical environment Why This Alameda, CA Travel SLP Role?
