Overview
The Chief Estimator leads all estimating and preconstruction activities for commercial construction projects, ensuring accurate, competitive budgets and bids that support company growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the commercial estimating and preconstruction team
Oversee conceptual through GMP and hard-bid estimates
Develop bid strategies and support go
o-go decisions
Review drawings, specs, and subcontractor proposals for scope and risk
Maintain strong subcontractor relationships and market pricing knowledge
Identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunities
Support xywuqvp project handoff, buyout strategy, and contract negotiations
Qualifications
10+ years of estimating experience with a commercial general contractor
5+ years in a senior estimating or leadership role
Strong knowledge of commercial building systems and delivery methods
Proficiency with estimating software and digital takeoff tools
