Warehouse Operator

Responsible for operating forklift, UPS/ FedEx equipment and database. Accountability, safety, and time-sensitive execution are critical in this position.
1. Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons and/or writes identifying shipping information on cartons.
2. Assembles cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers.
3. Assist co-workers and line workers with materials or product needs, resolution of problems and other support.
4. Binds containers with metal tape, using strapping machine.
5. Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
6. Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
7. Inserts items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding.
8. Maintain safe, clean and orderly work environment.
9. Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
10. May direct others in preparing outgoing and receiving incoming shipments.
11. May operate tier-lift truck or use hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area.
12. Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage.
13. Routes items to departments.
14. Stamps, stencils, or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.
15. Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, reject damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with purchasing to rectify damages and shortages.
16. Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment: Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
17. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Shipping database (UPS/ FedEx) MRP experience a plus
Knowledge of material flow through manufacturing a plus
Knowledge of Bush-Whacker product and specifications
Ability to read/write English
Safety-conscious
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Qualifications Preferred:
3-5 years' experience with machine operation in manufacturing
Forklift experience
High pace environment experience a plus
