Position Overview
Seeking a detail-oriented Settlement Officer to manage the full real estate closing process in a high-volume environment. This role oversees transactions from file opening through post-closing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a seamless client experience.
Key Responsibilities
Manage transactions from file opening through closing and post-closing
Prepare, review, and coordinate closing documents (deeds, affidavits, escrow agreements, etc.)
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, lenders, agents, and attorneys
Maintain and manage a high-volume pipeline, ensuring deadlines are met
Troubleshoot and resolve title issues and closing discrepancies
Ensure all documents comply with local, state, and federal regulations
Coordinate with underwriters, title teams, and external vendors
Perform post-closing audits and ensure timely delivery of recordable documents
Deliver clear, professional communication and high-level customer service
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in title, settlement, or real estate closings
Strong understanding of the full closing lifecycle
Experience managing files from start to finish
Post-closing experience is a plus
Experience with title software (e.g., SoftPro, Simplifile) preferred
Key Attributes
Strong attention to detail and organization
Excellent communication skills with a client-facing presence
Ability to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment
Team-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
Technically proficient (Excel, Word, Outlook; able to learn new systems quickly)
