Overview
We are seeking an IWMS Software Systems Engineer II to sustain and enhance the university’s Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS) and related data, reporting, and analytics functions. This customer‑focused role supports Facilities Operations by serving as the liaison between end users and technical teams, ensuring timely issue resolution and a positive user experience.
Responsibilities
Serve as a primary point of contact for end users; address inquiries, troubleshoot system issues, and communicate system updates and enhancements.
Gather and analyze customer feedback to recommend improvements that align with organizational goals.
Support end‑user training initiatives, including the development and delivery of training materials, “How‑To” guides, SOPs, and user manuals.
Assist customers in understanding process flows involving work prioritization, billing expectations, employee actions, and service standards.
Perform daily IWMS updates across all database instances, including maintaining setup tables and activating/deactivating user accounts and profiles.
Ensure data integrity and consistency across work management, asset management, space and occupancy management, construction projects, lease management, and financial/business operations modules.
Respond to daily system inquiries to provide guidance and support to users.
Support workflow enhancements in collaboration with the Database/Application Manager and team leaders; troubleshoot issues and recommend solutions.
Review reports for accuracy and process alignment; make recommendations for improvements to leadership.
Develop and manage reports using tools such as BIRT, Power BI, SQL queries, REST API, JSON, JavaScript, and other data‑analysis platforms.
Participate in customer‑driven report design meetings and manage feedback cycles for data requests.
Perform system testing for software upgrades, workflow changes, new modules, and other IWMS enhancements.
Maintain detailed testing documentation, logs, and reports.
Provide findings along with recommended solutions to identify and mitigate potential issues.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 6 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS) or Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as AiM (AssetWorks), Planon, Archibus, TRIRIGA, EAM (SAP), FAMIS (Accruent), Nuvolo (ServiceNow) or similar platforms.
Demonstrated proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools including BIRT, Power BI, SQL, REST APIs, JSON, and JavaScript.
Familiarity with facilities operations domains such as service orders, work requests, asset management, project management, space and occupancy, or lease administration.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical thinking abilities, with the ability to make recommendations for process improvements.
Excellent customer service skills with experience serving as a liaison between end users and technical teams.
Demonstrated ability to create user documentation such as SOPs, training guides, and process workflows.
Experience developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting database‑driven applications or workflow‑based systems.
Strong understanding of data governance, system configuration, and data integrity practices.
Experience conducting system testing, documenting findings, and communicating technical issues to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Three or more years of experience supporting enterprise systems, preferably within higher education, facilities management, or large organizational environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Salary and Benefits
The anticipated salary range for this position is $64,518 to $88,713. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
