Description
The Registered Nurse is a member of the interdisciplinary team working in collaboration with the Physician. The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing care process consistent with their license and/or certification including initiation of culturally competent continuum of care in inpatient, outpatient and community settings. The Cardiac Operating Room Registered Nurse is responsible for overseeing coordination of the interdisciplinary surgical plan of care and ensuring consistency with the surgical treatment plan.
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
Licensure: Current RN license in the State of New Jersey or current multi‑state license required.
Certifications: BLS required; ACLS required within 6 months of initial assignment and continuously maintained thereafter.
Additional Certifications: Valid New Jersey Driver’s License, ATCN or TNCC required after 24 months of assignment, PALS or ENPC provider status attained within 12 months of assignment, ATC, STEM, and NIHSS education as specified.
Driver’s License: Valid New Jersey Driver’s License required for all employees in the Adult and Child Partial Programs.
Experience
Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; skill required within 30‑60 days from hire.
