Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

to join our nationally-ranked hospital and

Hematology/Oncology

team!

Position Details

Full time, Rotating Schedule

Rotating coverage of day shifts
ights/weekend coverage

In-house on call overnight

100% inpatient

Procedures: spinal tap, bone marrow aspirate, bone marrow biopsy, Ommaya access

Expected patient volume in hospital: 24-32/week

Key Responsibilities

Manage oncology patients in the inpatient setting on a daily basis

Participate in team rounds

Manage scheduled chemotherapy patient visits &side effects of treatments

Perform independent, comprehensive assessments of patients receiving oncology treatments

Act as a resource for residents covering the oncology inpatient service

Work collectively with attending, practitioners, and nurses on both the solid tumor and leukemia teams

Qualifications

Ideal candidate would have nursing experience in hematology/oncology or critical care

If new graduate, 3+ years of nursing experience preferred

PNP, FNP, ACNP, or PAcertification required
