At Regions, the Market Engagement Partner supports local market leaders by coordinating administrative, business development, community engagement, and communications/marketing activities. This position ensures that local efforts align with corporate strategy and that market needs are appropriately communicated. Additionally, this position works cross-functionally with a range of internal partners to support markets (e.g., lines of business, Regions 360, Community Engagement, Corporate Communications and Marketing, etc.).
Primary Responsibilities
Administrative and Operational Support
Coordinates logistics for internal market meetings such as leadership forums, Officer Meetings, Regions360 engagements, and collaboration sessions
Provides general project coordination and administrative support for market initiatives
Manages local market engagement assets (e.g., sponsorship tickets, event materials) and ensures proper tracking and controls
Assists with basic reporting, recordkeeping, and documentation needs
Business Support and Market Coordination
Supports development of local Market Engagement activities that align with corporate strategy and market goals
Gathers and shares local insights with appropriate corporate partners
Helps coordinate market-level initiatives led by corporate teams (e.g., customer events, financial education sessions, branch initiatives)
Tracks performance indicators such as engagement metrics, event participation, or sponsorship utilization to inform market leaders
Assists in managing sponsorship, event, and ticket budgets in alignment with corporate guidelines
Community Engagement Support
Supports coordination of market-level volunteerism, Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) service hours, and community involvement activities
Assists with logistics for community programs, financial wellness workshops, and select Corporate Leadership & Development programs
Helps maintain relationships with local community stakeholders through outreach, scheduling, and coordination
May attend community events as a representative of the market, when appropriate
Marketing and Communications (MarComm) Support
Works with Corporate MarComm to execute approved marketing and communication initiatives within the local market
Coordinates local activation of corporate campaigns, materials, and messaging—ensuring brand accuracy and compliance
Provides Corporate MarComm with local insights and story leads; assists with gathering information for internal or external storytelling
Supports the promotion of corporate-led initiatives within the market (e.g., events, sponsorship activations)
Offers advice and guidance to junior market engagement partners, assisting in the development of relationships as well as technical and industry knowledge
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Finance, or related field
Six (6) years of experience in marketing, community relations, communications, or business support, preferably within financial services
Ability to travel for market events and support activities
Skills and Competencies
Ability to build effective working relationships with market leaders, corporate partners, and community stakeholders
Basic business acumen and understanding of market activities
Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
Experience supporting events or community activities preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong organizational, planning, and project coordination skills
This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.
Compensation Details
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
