Duties and Responsibilities

Lead a procurement services team, focusing on talent acquisition, coaching, skill development, and deployment of procurement and business capabilities that meet or exceed organizational goals and stakeholder expectations.

Provide technical direction, advice, and counsel on a wide array of supplier and stakeholder situations, bringing broad depth and breadth of experience to handle procuring services across complex and/or changing categories.

Develop thorough category strategies to drive value based on an understanding of internal stakeholder needs, the supply market, spend analysis and benchmarking, and effectively document, communicate and gain buy‑in for the strategies.

Translate the category strategies into sourcing strategies, which contain acceptable supplier negotiation approaches and outcomes aligned with business leader objectives.

Research, select, develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure the requirements of the categories are met with optimum quality, service and cost.

Manage supplier performance, including objective setting and supplier evaluations. Interact with stakeholders to develop, engage and lead supplier relationships to extract the greatest value in cost, security of supply, risk management, sustainability and innovation.

Lead sustainable procurement for the company, including partnering with Sustainability and representing AdvanSix in external organizations such as Together for Sustainability (TfS).

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, technologies, related corporate policies and procedures, as well as regulations, ensuring procurement activities comply with internal policies and external regulations.

Oversee tactical purchasing for all corporate functions, including the issuance of purchase orders and/or payment of invoices.

Comprehend and provide constructive input on legal contract documents related to purchasing terms, conditions, indemnification and intellectual property ownership.

Lead business continuity planning and continuous improvement opportunities across key suppliers and categories to improve total cost and correct potential risks with services.

Create and manage metrics necessary to ensure customer satisfaction and the ongoing competitiveness of procured products and services.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field; master’s degree preferred.

8+ years of experience in purchasing and/or supply chain management.

A strong background across multiple corporate services procurement areas is desired, with particular preference for expertise negotiating, managing contracts, and driving supplier performance related to the IT function.

Experience leading the delivery and optimization of procurement services, including developing teams, people and services strategies.

Additional Qualifications

Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills at different levels across the organization; excellent interpersonal skills.

Ability to champion a cause and collaborate cross‑functionally to identify and implement process improvement opportunities.

Strategic mindset, problem solving, project management.

Travel may be required.

The base salary range for this role is: $130,700 to $196,100.

We offer a range of market‑competitive total rewards that include periodic pay rate adjustments based on market competitiveness. The final offer will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to the responsibilities of the job, experience, education, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as the job location, applicability of a collective bargaining agreement, length of service, internal equity and alignment with market data. The incentive pay is dependent on your role, business results and individual performance. All aspects of total rewards offered are subject to the terms and conditions of the specific plans.
