Step into a role where your expertise in trade compliance drives tangible financial impact. Our client is a leader in global logistics, and they are seeking a detail‑oriented Duty Drawback Specialist to join their Houston team remotely. You won’t just file claims; you’ll be a recovery champion with the autonomy to drive impactful change and optimize processes that secure maximum duty, tax, and fee recovery.
Responsibilities
Architect and file meticulous duty drawback claims with U.S. Customs (CBP) to maximize recovery.
Analyze import/export data from ACE and CargoWise to identify untapped recovery opportunities.
Navigate regulatory landscapes, ensuring total adherence to U.S. Customs laws and HTS classifications.
Champion process improvements that streamline claim efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Collaborate with trade partners and, in time, serve as a professional liaison for valued clients.
Qualifications
Proven experience with drawback programs and U.S. Customs regulations (19 CFR).
Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and experience with HTS codes.
Demonstrated experience with ACE data, DutyCalc, and CargoWise.
A Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) highly desired.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills as this is a customer‑facing role.
Degree in Supply Chain, International Business, or Accounting is a plus.
Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role.
Compensation & Work Hours
Salary: $95,000 - $100,000 per year.
Shift: First. Work hours: 8 AM – 4 PM.
