The Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving and recording in all food products, supplies, and merchandise. The individual in this position must keep accurate record of inventory on hand, used and ordered. The Receiving Clerk is also the delivery driver as needed for on campus drop-offs. This person will work with management and co-workers to instill and foster the value of the Villanova Mission Statement and the Dining Services Mission Statement. Duties and Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Inspect, receive, and record all food and supplies delivered according to safe food handling guidelines and procedures. Responsible for returning and refusing items.
Date and store all food and supplies according to safe food handling guidelines and procedures utilizing the FIFO system of inventory.
Maintain accurate inventory records of all food products, supplies, and merchandise entered into the building.
Maintain order and cleanliness of all food and non-food storage areas.
Drives University Vehicles for Dining Services as needed.
Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Formal Education: High School degree or equivalent.
Work Experience: 1+ year as a receiver or related experience dealing with inventory control.
Work Skills: Must possess math skills to keep records of inventory on hand, used, and ordered. Must possess a valid driver's license and must be an approved University driver in accordance with the University's motor vehicle record policy for drivers. Must be able to follow directions and complete assigned tasks. Must have basic and effective communication skills and basic reading and writing skills. Must be able to work with minimal supervision and follow directions and complete assigned tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:
Tools, machinery and equipment used: Kitchen Equipment
Environmental conditions: Ability to use chemicals daily and use proper protective equipment as called for by the specific chemical and task.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs independently. Ability to withstand extreme temperatures (hot/cold). Ability to use chemicals.
Salary Posting Information
$18.98 an hour shift differential added for qualifying shifts
