Project Specialist
Business Management Associates (BMA) is seeking an experienced Project Specialist. The contractor shall provide human capital and project management support services.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Develops and manages project plans, timelines, deliverables, and resource allocations.
Coordinates and monitors progress of multiple concurrent projects.
Prepares briefings, reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership.
Analyzes project data to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
Supports procurement and budget planning related to project needs.
Facilitates communication and coordination among cross-functional and interagency teams.
Tracks milestones and ensures compliance with federal and agency policies.
Develops Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and project documentation.
Participates in risk assessment and mitigation planning.
Conducts post-project evaluations to ensure continuous improvement.
Qualifications Required
Knowledge of project management principles, practices, and tools.
Experience in coordinating multiple stakeholders across program areas.
Ability to collect, analyze, and present complex information clearly.
Familiarity with federal budgeting, procurement, or contracting processes (varies by agency).
Skill in using project tracking tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, SharePoint, Excel).
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Specialized Experience (as defined by OPM)
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in federal service that demonstrates the ability to manage, coordinate, or support administrative or technical projects, including setting goals, monitoring progress, and reporting results.
Education & Experience
Associates degree in a field of expertise is preferred, and/or 2 years' experience in human resources, information technology, program analysis. Experience identifying and documenting project requirements.
