Patient Services Representative II

The Patient Services Representative II acts as the primary point of contact, managing advanced patient scheduling, insurance verification, and co-payment collection. The PSR II will rotate on occasion or as necessary, to other DRCHC sites (Bossier, Gilliam, Haynesville, Minden, and Shreveport).
Work Experience Requirements:

Greet patients, verify demographic information, and secure insurance authorization for services.
Schedule appointments and follow-up visits, ensuring accurate patient calendars and maximizing clinic efficiency.
Collect deductibles, co-payments, and deposits and advise patients on billing or insurance guidelines.
Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and distribute them to clinical staff.
Address patient's inquiries, communicate waiting times and resolve issues to ensure high patient satisfaction.
Assist all patients' referrals, transportation, insurance verification, etc.
Ensures all confidential personal health information and financial information is entered into a computerized system with a rate of accuracy.
Complies with all federal and local laws in ensuring patient privacy and DRCHC policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as described.
Education/Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
At least one year of patient/customer services experience.
At least one year of health experience.
Proficiency in EMR software and Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in the NextGen system that consists of EDR application.
Ability to multitask and manage high-pressure situations.
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance protocols.
