Administrative Support Assistant
Help include but are not limited to:
Performs administrative and support duties to assist the Mission.
Manages complex special projects requiring specialized training and knowledge of databases, timekeeping, Excel, and suspense tracking.
Provides administrative, technical, and clerical support to the Chief, Deputy Chief, Police Operations, and staff.
Handles diverse problems involving employee and public interactions, requiring multiple decisions and actions.
Conducts independent research to resolve policy, project, and procedural questions, advising on appropriate actions.
Serves as Primary Records Custodian, maintaining Police files per VA Record Control Schedule 10-1 and OS & LE guidelines, including sensitive reports.
Processes incoming/outgoing correspondence, reports, and memos.
Edits, composes, and reviews correspondence for accuracy and clarity.
Reviews material prepared by others, gathers information for reports and meetings, and follows up on commitments.
Schedules appointments and meetings via various platforms, researching subject matter independently
Work Schedule: Full Time, Monday thru Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
