Legal & Executive Assistant
Emery Oleochemicals is seeking a Legal & Executive Assistant to support the General Counsel, C-Suite leadership team, and broader corporate team. This role combines legal coordination, executive support, and corporate office operations, with a focus on corporate governance activities, leadership meetings, and executive priorities This position reports directly to the General Counsel.
Key Responsibilities
Legal Coordination & Governance Support
Support the General Counsel with legal tasks and coordination
Assist in preparation, formatting, and organization of contracts and corporate documents
Compile and organize materials for Board of Directors meetings and governance activities
Maintain legal and corporate records, files, and document tracking systems
Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external counsel on document flow and logistics
Support compliance documentation and internal governance processes
Executive & C-Suite Support
Provide administrative support to the General Counsel, C-Suite leadership team, and broader corporate team
Manage complex calendars, meetings, and leadership cadences across functions and time zones
Coordinate executive meetings, including agendas, materials, and follow-ups
Prepare and format presentations, reports, and supporting materials based on leadership input
Track action items and ensure timely follow-up with stakeholders
Coordinate domestic and international travel, including itineraries and expense reporting
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive business and personnel matters
Corporate Office Coordination
Support day-to-day coordination of the corporate office environment
Manage meeting logistics including conference rooms, catering, and executive events
Coordinate office vendors, supplies, and general administrative needs
Assist with onboarding logistics for corporate employees
Support company events and leadership meetings as needed
Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred (Business, Communications, or related field)
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in an Executive Assistant or similar administrative role
Experience supporting senior leadership required; C-Suite exposure preferred
Prior exposure to legal or corporate governance environments is a plus (not required as a legal professional)
Experience in manufacturing, chemical, or industrial environments preferred
Preferred Skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High level of discretion and professionalism
Working Conditions
Primarily office-based within a corporate environment
Regular interaction with executive leadership and corporate functions
Occasional support for company events and leadership activities
