Job Summary
As a Purchasing Manager, you will lead a purchasing team to ensure timely, high-quality, and cost-effective procurement. You will ensure strong performance and results within the team, develop efficient workflows, and lead through influence. This role is responsible for implementing purchasing strategies aligned with company goals while supporting multiple business lines and sites.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead and support a geographically distributed team of Buyers, fostering clear expectations, collaboration, and ongoing skill development across locations and business lines.
Ensure timely, quality, and cost-effective purchasing execution in support of the Detection & Analysis and Positioning Solutions businesses, aligning supply decisions with customer, operational, and regulatory requirements.
Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Program teams to balance demand, manage risk, and support new product introductions and product lifecycle changes.
Manage supplier relationships and performance, including delivery, quality, responsiveness, and cost, using data-driven insights to guide decision-making and continuous improvement.
Establish, maintain, and improve purchasing processes and standard work to enable consistency, scalability, and compliance across multiple sites.
Contribute to business planning and performance goals by identifying opportunities to improve service, productivity, and cost while maintaining continuity of supply.
Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies
Demonstrated ability to lead purchasing or procurement teams in a manufacturing or technology-driven environment.
Strong knowledge of purchasing, sourcing, supplier management, and cost negotiation.
Experience operating within ERP systems and standard purchasing tools.
Proven ability to lead through influence in a matrixed, multi-site environment.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills when working with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

Ability to perform standard office‑based work; minimal physical demands.
Compensation & Benefits
The base pay for this position ranges from $103,170 – $165,110 per year, depending on the geographic market.
This position may be eligible for an annual bonus based on performance results.
