Overview
The Director of Services (DOS) is responsible for the day-to-day client/patient services of Amnion Women’s Center (AWC). This person should be skilled in Biblical soul care, competent to lead all AWC’s patient and client services. Supervisory duties include the management of all medical and non-medical client/patient services personnel. Oversee ongoing training and insuring adequate staffing and excellence of the entire team. The DOS is responsible for the development and implementation of client/patient services programs to meet the needs of women, men, and families who face an unplanned pregnancy, and issues related to it.

Employee Status:

Full-time (32 hours/week), Exempt Employee

Supervises:

Client Services Manager, Patient Services Manager, and Nurse Manager

Qualifications

Be a committed Christian who demonstrates a strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

Demonstrate servant leadership by supporting, mentoring, and guiding team members with integrity and purpose

Exhibit dedication to the Gospel message, sanctity of human life, and a biblical understanding of purity and marriage.

Have training and experience in the areas of Christ-centered, biblical counseling and evangelism, preferably in a crisis setting.

Agree with and be willing to uphold AWC’s Mission and Vision Statement, Statement of Faith, and policies and procedures.

Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in a helping field.

Preferably 5+ years of experience in a helping profession, in a position requiring management and leadership experience or equivalent.

Exhibit strong skills in the areas of written and interpersonal communication, public speaking, and problem solving.

Duties and Responsibilities
Patient/Client Services

Oversee all areas of client/patient services.

Collaborate with other staff when more difficult, complex client situations arise.

Assist with appointments, as needed.

Ensure integrity of client data by managing client statistics and record keeping processes in conjunction with other client services staff.

Increase awareness of AWC services through collaboration with Executive Director & Director of Development in development and implementation of marketing, social media, and website strategies.

Support managers and advocates by providing supervision and encouragement in their roles.

Manage AWC’s educational and support programs to promote healthy parenting practices, and to meet the needs of clients during their pregnancies.

Oversee referral resources for clients.

Oversee policies and procedure manual for service team.

Evaluate and select educational materials for client use to ensure that all items are accurate and Christ-centered, as appropriate.

Develop and/or expand client programs that promote the mission and vision of AWC, including the FOCUS method of patient care for those at-risk for abortion.

Training and Supervision

Provide on-going training and overall supervision for the service team.

Provide yearly evaluations for the Managers and oversee the direction of other yearly evaluations for their subordinates.

Offer suggestions and directions for client situations, as well as encouragement to managers and advocates.

Address conflicts, if they arise, with program staff, using biblical principles, to come to a resolution that supports and promotes the needs and welfare of the ministry and its clients.

Oversee the recruiting, screening and hiring process for all service staff.

Oversee and provide staff training, including any volunteer patient advocates, as prescribed by Care Net and SperaVita (FOCUS) standards of care and AWC policies and procedures.

Work in conjunction with the managers and Executive team to plan and implement quarterly staff development.

Work in conjunction with the Executive leadership team to plan and implement yearly staff retreats.

Administration

Track all client services programs in compliance with Care Net and SperaVita expectations.

Manage annual program budget to ensure faithful stewardship of God’s provision. Seek approval from the AWC Board of Directors for any expenditure that exceeds the budget.

Manage inventory of client literature, purchasing additional literature and supplies, as needed.

Review and revise, as needed, the client services policies and procedures so that they are consistent, and in compliance with AWC’s insurance and legal requirements.

Provide monthly and year-end client statistic reports and client trends, with recommendations to the Executive Director and Board of Directors to assist in future planning and implementation of programs.

Oversee scheduling of client services staff (medical
on-medical) to ensure optimal availability for patient appointments while maintaining reasonable staff workload expectations for the long-term.

Provide or delegate statistics and client services news for the weekly volunteer newsletter.

Public Relations

Create working relationships with other agencies, churches, and organizations where AWC refers clients to or from which it accepts client referrals.

Represent AWC with county agencies, church staff, and other organizations.

Be available to respond to pastors and church questions regarding support ministries and AWC’s services, as a back-up assistant to the Executive Director or Director of Development.

Participate in fundraising events, by assisting in administrative duties and/or speaking as requested by the Executive Director.

Strategic Planning

Develop and implement strategic plans to expand ministry operations and foster relationships with community and church organizations.

Work in conjunction with the Executive Team and Board of Directors to carry out strategic plans to grow the ministry.

The Director of Services shall receive a yearly written and oral evaluation from the Executive Director.
