Travel assignment in a hospital setting

Responsibilities
Serve as the scrub person in the operating room, supporting the surgeon and OR team to maintain a safe environment.
Ensure completion of case carts according to preference cards and assist in procuring instruments and supplies as indicated.
Recognize and interpret preference cards to coordinate instrumentation and supplies for scheduled and non‑scheduled procedures.
Communicate clearly with OR staff and sterile processing to track instrumentation throughout the day and manage turnover as needed.
Review the daily schedule with the charge nurse and sterile processing day coordinator to identify potential delays and scheduling issues.
Manage core communications for the role, delegating duties and coordinating breaks and lunches as appropriate.
Serve as a resource for SPD and Surgical Services in procuring necessary items and collaborating with materials management on supply utilization and deployment.
Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program or equivalent military surgical technologist program
American Heart Association BLS Certified
Must live at least 90 miles away from the facility to be considered
Ability to work in a hospital operating room environment and collaborate with OR and SPD teams
