Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience required.
License: N/A
Certifications: BLS required, CST preferred.
Must-Have: Must have experience in General OR, Teaching Hospital, Trauma.
Must have specific case skills in Ear, Nose, and Throat, Endoscopic procedures, General Surgery, Gynecology, Neurosurgery, Oral, Orthopedic, Plastic Surgery, Trauma, Urology, and Emergency management.
Must have knowledge of required equipment, instrumentation, and professional knowledge.
Description: Position available for an OR Tech. The average daily census is 50-60 cases per day. Weekend shifts are required once a month with a total obligation of 16 hours.
On-call duty is required as needed for the department. The clinician may float within the scope of practice as necessary. Candidates must discuss schedule requests with management. All time off must be reviewed and approved by management.
Candidates must meet specific requirements for skills and experience in various surgical procedures. Essential skills include Aseptic Technique, Isolation Precautions, and Universal Protocol (Time out) Procedure.
Experience in a Level I trauma center is required.
This position involves working with an interdisciplinary team and supporting various patient care services.
The unit covers a wide range of cases except for eyes and cardiothoracic procedures.
Special equipment used includes robotic systems and fiber optic light sources.
Candidates will be expected to contribute to a safe and efficient surgical environment. All required skills must be present for consideration.
