Position Overview
As an Automotive Service Technician at Horne Mazda, you play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction through professional vehicle maintenance and repair. Your work habits and ethics directly contribute to client satisfaction and business success. The Service Technician is encouraged to set personal goals for service improvement and track progress as guided by the Service Manager.

Primary Responsibilities

Accurately troubleshoot and resolve customer concerns using up-to-date technical and administrative tools.

Provide courteous and professional interactions with all customers.

Serve as a secondary greeter to customers near the Service Drive.

Stay informed on all technical publications, Service Comm, and Asist terminal operations.

Deliver safe and high-quality vehicle service on the first attempt.

Address all original customer concerns before discussing additional sales.

Inspect vehicles for additional maintenance opportunities, ensuring compliance with local and factory recommendations.

Return vehicles in clean or improved condition compared to arrival.

Participate in factory and in-house training programs as provided.

Complete all paperwork accurately and ensure all required documentation is attached to repair orders.

Perform additional duties as assigned by service management.

Maintain punctuality, professionalism, and wear a clean uniform at work.

Qualifications

Experience with warranty and non-warranty vehicle inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair across various makes and models.

Proven ability to meet or exceed performance goals.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Professional appearance and strong work ethic.

Positive attitude with high energy and motivation.

Exceptional customer service skills.

Ability to read and follow instructions accurately.

Good judgment and decision‑making skills.

Valid State driver's license with a clean driving record.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required.

ASE certification demonstrating technical aptitude is required.

Technical or trade school degree preferred.
