Faculty Candidates

General Cardiologist
Assistant Professor or higher. Educate and mentor residents, fellows, and medical students. Board certified (or BE) in ABIM, completed a General Cardiology Fellowship, and must hold a valid unrestricted Texas state medical license. Interest in clinical research is a plus.

Heart Failure‑Transplant Cardiologist
Assistant or higher. Work in the Sealy Heart and Vascular Institute (SHVI) with inpatient and outpatient duties, a growing Heart Transplant and VAD program. Board certified or eligible in ABIM, completed a structured heart failure fellowship, and must hold a valid Texas state medical license. Clinical research experience is a bonus.

Advanced Cardiac‑Imaging Cardiologist
Assistant or higher. Must have Level 3 fellowship training in Cardiac MRI and Cardiac CT, with optional structural echocardiography experience and board certifications in Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology. Board certified or eligible in ABIM, completed a structured advanced cardiac imaging fellowship, and must hold a valid Texas state medical license. Primary focus is advanced cardiac imaging with limited inpatient consults and a modest ambulatory clinic.

Interventional Cardiologist
Assistant or higher. Serve in a high‑volume cath lab and provide interventional cardiology services. Endovascular skills and experience in PAD are highly desired; CHIP, interventional heart failure, and catheter‑based pulmonary embolism interventions are also preferred. Board certified (or BE) in ABIM, completed a General and Interventional Cardiology Fellowship, and must hold a valid unrestricted Texas state medical license.

Electrophysiology Cardiologist
Any rank. Manage a large EP procedural volume across multiple campuses. Board certified (or BE) in ABIM and Cardiac Electrophysiology, completed a General Cardiology Fellowship, and must hold a valid unrestricted Texas state medical license.

Compensation
Base salary commensurate with academic rank and experience, an RVU bonus program, relocation allowance, superior family benefits, and an unsurpassed state retirement program.
