The beautiful Signa by Hilton at La Cantera Resort and Spa, the only Hilton Corporate Managed hotel in San Antonio, boasts 130,000+ square feet of meeting space and 496 guest rooms. We are looking to add a Senior Event Manager to our amazing team! This role presents an excellent opportunity to plan and execute amazing group events while creating memorable, lasting experiences for our guests in a vibrant and distinctive setting.
Responsibilities
Organize, plan and prioritize duties by developing plans and goals.
Timely communication to internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents or in person.
Create and maintain relationships with clients to set and meet client expectations and deliver on those expectations.
Demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, and processes.
Resolve conflicts and negotiate with others while handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances.
Sell and influence both internal and external clients.
Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating the issues and determining the best solution.
Ensure high-quality service by communicating and assisting others to understand the guest needs, providing direction and guidance, feedback and individual coaching when needed.
Participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process as necessary.
Perform other duties as necessary based on business needs.
Maintain regular attendance.
Qualifications
Minimum 2+ years of event planning experience.
Flexible scheduling based on group demand.
It would be advantageous in this position to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
Knowledge of the hotel property management systems (Delphi.fdc).
CMP Certification.
Event planning experience within a resort/hotel environment.
