Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager
Southwest Florida – Earth Tech Enterprises. Lead safety programs across mining, marine, and site development operations.
This role strengthens the safety culture, ensures compliance, and partners with operations leaders to identify and manage risk across construction and mining projects.
Safety professionals who work closely with field teams and drive continuous improvement will make a meaningful impact across a growing heavy civil organization.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and continuously improve Earth Tech’s Health & Safety Program.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, MSHA, DOT/FDOT, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain company safety policies, procedures, and safety documentation.
Conduct jobsite safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
Partner with project managers and superintendents to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
Provide hands‑on safety coaching and leadership in the field.
Coordinate and deliver OSHA and MSHA safety training.
Conduct new hire safety orientation.
Maintain training records and certifications.
Lead incident reporting and investigation processes.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Maintain safety records and compliance documentation.
Manage the company’s Behavior‑Based Safety Observation (BBSO) program.
Track safety observations and trends.
Support employee engagement in proactive safety initiatives.
Oversee DOT and FDOT compliance for company trucks and transportation operations.
Maintain required permits, safety records, and compliance documentation.
Qualifications
5+ years safety leadership experience in construction, mining, or heavy civil environments.
Strong knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, and DOT regulations.
Experience conducting incident investigations and safety training.
Ability to work effectively with both field teams and leadership.
Preferred Certifications
CSP (Certified Safety Professional)
CHST or OHST
MSHA Trainer Certification
Work Environment
The role involves a combination of office and field work, including regular visits to construction sites, mining operations, and marine projects throughout Southwest Florida.
