Overview
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology seeks a Complex Family Planning Section Chief. This position leads the Complex Family Planning (CFP) program and expands the department’s clinical and research expertise. The successful candidate will supervise a resident family planning rotation that includes an early pregnancy management clinic, a dedicated contraception clinic, and operative experience at an ambulatory surgical facility. The faculty member will also participate in a well‑established faculty practice, attend the gynecology teaching service, and play an active role in medical student education. Research opportunities involve collaboration with the College of Public Health and the department’s reproductive epidemiologist.

Responsibilities

Lead the CFP program, setting strategic direction and ensuring high quality clinical service.

Supervise resident training, including early pregnancy management, contraception, and operative procedures.

Participate in the academic faculty practice and attend the gynecology teaching service.

Serve in a senior role in medical student education.

Engage in collaborative research with the College of Public Health and other departmental investigators.

Qualifications

M.D. or D.O. degree.

Successful completion of an accredited residency training program.

Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Ohio.

Current registration with the DEA.

Board certification or eligibility by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Board‑certified or eligible physician with fellowship training in complex family planning or equivalent experience.
