Electrical Engineer
Position Summary
Ross Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer III to support the design and execution of industrial electrical systems across a variety of projects. This role will focus on power distribution and/or instrumentation & controls, with opportunities to contribute across the full project lifecycle—from design through field support and commissioning.
The ideal candidate brings a strong technical foundation, practical field awareness, and the ability to collaborate across engineering and construction teams.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and support electrical designs for industrial projects
Prepare and review equipment submittals, including:
Medium Voltage (MV) switchgear
Low Voltage (LV) Motor Control Centers (MCCs)
Motors and associated equipment
Design and support systems involving:
4160V and 480V power distribution
Instrumentation and controls systems
PLC panel design and layout
Collaborate with project managers, designers, and field teams to ensure successful execution
Provide engineering support during construction and commissioning phases
Assist with troubleshooting, field walkdowns, and system verification
Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and project requirements
Support documentation, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field)
PE license not required, but strongly preferred or willingness to pursue licensure
5–8+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience
Experience Requirements
Experience in oil & gas, energy, or industrial projects preferred
Hands-on experience with one or more of the following:
Medium and low voltage power systems (4160V / 480V)
Instrumentation and controls
PLC panel design
Experience preparing or reviewing equipment submittals
Field experience or exposure to construction environments is a strong plus

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy
Comfortable working between office and field environments
