Salary: $207,000-$300,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

8 years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, or site reliability engineering.

4 years of people management experience.

Experience coding in programming languages: Python or Go.

Preferred qualifications

Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.

Responsibilities

Lead, manage, and mentor a team of Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) focused on enhancing GCE's disaster recovery capabilities.

Define and drive the technical roadmap and strategy for the team's area of DR responsibility (e.g., regional resilience, global recovery, specific GCE components).

Oversee the architecture, design, and implementation of DR solutions, automation, tooling, and processes to meet Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO).

Ensure the team successfully delivers on its commitments, including measurable improvements to DR posture and full compliance with regulatory and business requirements.

Build and maintain strong partnerships with GCE development teams (Data Store Owners), other SRE teams, Technical Program Managers (TPMs), and Product Management.
