Computer Operator
Primary Purpose: The role of the computer operator is to perform data entry functions as directed by principal/designee. Functions may include any or all but not limited to the following: accounting, personnel, budget, demographics, student attendance and grades.
Professional Qualifications:
Education/Certification: High School diploma or equivalency
Special Knowledge/Skills: Communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of computer and software Good organizational skills Ability to meet established deadlines
Experience: 2-4 year's experience in data entry and computer services
Performance Responsibilities:
Support board and administrative policies and decisions
Maintain a professional work environment through a positive attitude, punctuality, regular attendance, phone etiquette, and personal appearance
General Transcribe routine pre-coded information, verify data for accuracy and completeness. Monitor data entered by departments and campuses for accuracy and completeness.
Provide guidance to campuses regarding grading, attendance reporting, staff reporting discipline reporting and scheduling.
Provide assistance to departments and campuses with designing and constructing reports.
Provide assistance to departments and campuses on using application software.
Work with PEIMS Coordinator to gather and maintain PEIMS information.
Responsible for the printing and processing of six weeks attendance reports, grade reports, progress reports, class or personnel roster, accounting reports, etc...
Other Maintain confidentiality. Perform other duties as assigned by the director/designee.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Tools & Equipment: Computer, printer, calculator, copier, fax, phone, laminator
Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions Maintain emotional control
Physical Demands: Lift and carry up to 25 pounds Ability to sit, stand walk and climb Repetitive hand motions Hear well Speak clearly Distinguish colors
Environmental Factors: Exposure to communicable diseases
