Supply Specialist at MUSC
Pay: $16 an hour - this position is downtown!
The Supply Specialist is responsible for performing essential materials, distribution, and logistics tasks within the Materials Management department to support clinical activities within a medical complex. This role focuses on determining replenishment requirements, locating, selecting, documenting the issue of, and distributing medical supplies. It also involves documenting the receipt and distribution of supplies and equipment.
Responsibilities:
Determine replenishment requirements for medical supplies.
Locate, select, and document issues of supplies.
Distribute medical supplies within the medical complex.
Document receipt and distribution of supplies and equipment.
Perform inventory management, material handling, picking, packing, shipping, and receiving tasks.
Utilize RF scanners for order picking and warehouse inventory tracking.
Engage in logistics activities, including packaging and labeling.
Essential Skills:
High school graduate (or GED equivalent) with one year of related work experience.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Demonstrated ability to perform recordkeeping tasks, shipping/receiving, physical inventories, and quality control checks.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Physical ability to stand all day, pick orders, and stock shipments.
Experience in material handling and logistics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Experience in a logistics, preferably in healthcare.
Proficiency in using a scan gun for inventory management.
Computer literacy and familiarity with SAP and email communication.

Work Environment:
Work in a clean, climate-controlled hospital environment. The atmosphere is team-oriented, and the dress code is scrubs or office casual with sneakers.
Shifts are Monday to Friday, with rotating weekends (every other weekend) and some holidays required. Shift times are 3am-11:30am, 5am-1:30pm, and 12pm-8:30pm.

The pay range for this position is $34000.00 - $41600.00/yr. Comprehensive State Benefits 401k and pension options Tuition reimbursement
