Cash Application/Accounts Receivable Specialist
Join our dynamic team as a Cash Application/Accounts Receivable Specialist, where you will play a key role in deduction analysis and clearing within our Accounts Receivable Department. You will be instrumental in managing accounts receivable processes, specifically working with grocery retail businesses, and utilizing integrated ERP systems like SAP, JDE, Net Suites, or Sage. You should thrive in both independent work and team collaboration, understanding the impact of your work on the organization.
Responsibilities
Become an expert on job duties, JDE, and understand customer behaviors and cadence.
Analyze, categorize, code, and clear deductions for assigned customers in a timely manner.
Research, document, and ensure proper deals are entered into the trade funds management program (Blue Planner) and ERP systems.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders and maintain accurate documentation for processing.
Identify root causes of invalid deductions and develop methods to prevent future issues.
Provide inter/intra-departmental support and maintain productive working relationships with stakeholders.
Assist with Accounts Receivable special projects and cash applications when necessary.
Provide reports and information to stakeholders upon request.
Manage and process brokerage payments as needed.
Essential Skills
Experience in accounts receivable, deductions, chargebacks, and cash applications.
Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, and other Microsoft Office applications.
Solid understanding of ERP systems, such as SAP and JDE.
Strong analytical and financial analysis skills.
Experience in customer service and data entry.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma required, two-year degree preferred.
At least 2 years of accounting experience.
Ability to manage and maintain inter-departmental processes and procedures effectively.
Work Environment
This role is based in an office setting with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Business casual attire is expected, with jeans acceptable when paired with nice shoes and a shirt. You will be part of a cohesive Accounts Receivable team that values accuracy, timely completion of tasks, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders. The team works collaboratively across departments and communicates with brokers and customers through various channels to ensure comprehensive deduction management.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
