Lead Carpenter - Residential Remodeling & Custom Builds
Local Work | Short Commute from Plymouth | Steady Year-Round Projects
Based in Ashland, NH (10-15 min from Plymouth)
Up to $40/hr + Benefits | Full-Time
This Role Is a Great Fit for Plymouth-Based Carpenters
* Easy 10-15 minute commute from Plymouth
* Local Central NH & Lakes Region projects (no long-distance travel)
* Steady, year-round work with a small, professional crew

This role is posted in Plymouth to reach skilled local carpenters. All projects are based in Ashland, NH, and the nearby Central NH/Lakes Region.
About the Role
Center Carpentry is hiring an experienced Lead Carpenter to lead hands-on production on residential remodels, additions, and custom builds.
We work for homeowners who value quality, communication, and long-term relationships. If you take pride in your work and enjoy leading by example on the jobsite, you'll fit in well here.
What You'll Do
* Lead daily production on residential jobsites
* Work hands-on across framing, trim, cabinetry, windows/doors, siding, and finish work
* Plan daily work, sequencing, and material needs
* Coordinate and oversee specialty subcontractors
* Train and mentor apprentices and carpenters
* Maintain clean, organized, and protected jobsites
* Communicate progress with the Project Manager
* Use JobTread for daily logs and updates
What We're Looking For
* 7+ years of residential carpentry experience (custom & finish work)
* Proven ability to lead small crews
* Strong skills in framing, finish carpentry, cabinetry, and exterior work
* Reliable transportation to Ashland-area jobsites
* Professional hand tools and jobsite presence
* Organized, accountable, and team-oriented mindset
Pay & Benefits
* Up to $40/hr , based on experience and craftsmanship
