Position Overview
This position is not open to sub‑vendors or H‑1 transfer or STEM/OPT.

Business Analyst with some PM skills.

This is a hybrid role and must work 3 days onsite in New York.

Must be local to New York City. Must be able to go on site for interview. Work location is Greenwich Street, New York, 10007.

1 year + contract assignment. Hourly rate 60.00 as Experis w/2 employee.

Skills Required

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in project management methodologies, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure project deliverables are met on time and within scope.

Proven track record of successfully coordinating and managing complex IT projects, with at least 6 years of experience in business, data, or system analysis, or project management roles, preferably a mix.

Bachelor’s degree in management, Computer science, or related Science/Engineering majors. Master's degree or PMP/scrum master certification is a plus.

Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques, with the ability to adapt approaches to suit project needs.

Proficiency in project management software, collaboration tools like JIRA or Azure Dev Op, and office productivity suites.

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders at all levels.

Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate and lead cross‑functional teams to achieve project objectives.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Adaptability to changing project requirements and a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Play a crucial role in the successful planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of various IT projects.

Work alongside the Project director to lead the coordination of complex IT projects from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with project goals, scope, budget, and timeline.

Collaborate with stakeholders, including IT development teams, business units, and external vendors, to identify team tasks, define project objectives and establish clear project scopes.

Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, and risk management strategies, ensuring all project activities are well‑defined and properly documented.

Identify project dependencies and critical paths to ensure project timelines are adhered to. Address potential risks or roadblocks and propose solutions to mitigate them.

Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to all stakeholders.

Facilitate effective communication between project team members, ensuring that all parties are informed of project milestones, changes, and updates.

Hands‑on business analysis experience to gather requirements, review user stories, and support user acceptance testing for system bug fixes or vital enhancements.
