Job Description
Atlantic Health System, one of New Jersey's largest non‑profit healthcare networks, is seeking an Advanced Practice Professional (NP/PA) to join the Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute, Cardiac Surgery Program at Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center. This role is ideal for self‑starters and will give an NP or PA the opportunity to be part of a growing and well‑established group with a robust staff.
Responsibilities
Work in the 24‑bed Critical Care unit and provide pre/post operative care of cardiac surgery patients.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team that includes Surgeons, Intensivists, NPs & PAs.
Perform procedural tasks such as central line placements and arterial line insertions.
Initiate appropriate interventions, order diagnostic tests, and develop care plans.
Apply critical care judgment and provide independent patient care.
Qualifications
Master's degree as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant from an accredited program.
NP or PA Certification and NJ License required.
DEA and CDS certifications required.
ACLS and BLS certification required.
Minimum of 2–3 years of Critical Care or Cardiology experience.
Excellent communication and computer skills.
Strong work ethic and able to work independently as a team player.
