Job Summary
Atlantic Health, one of New Jersey's largest non‑profit healthcare networks, is seeking an Advanced Practice Professional (NP/PA) to join the Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute, Cardiothoracic Surgery Program at Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center. This role is ideal for self‑starters and will give an NP or PA the opportunity to be part of a growing and well‑established group with a robust staff.

Responsibilities
The Advanced Practice Professional will work in a 24‑bed Critical Care unit and will be integral in the pre‑/post‑operative care of cardiac surgery patients in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team that includes Surgeons, Intensivists, NPs & PAs. The ideal candidate will have procedural experience including but not limited to central line placements, a‑line insertions, and will initiate appropriate interventions, orders and diagnostic tests. Critical Care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Master's degree as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant from an accredited program

NP or PA Certification and NJ License is required

DEA and CDS is required

ACLS and BLS required

Minimum of 2‑3 years of Critical Care or Cardiothoracic Surgery experience

Must have excellent communication and computer skills

Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
