Lead Advanced Practice Professional (NP/PA), Clinical Education – Cardiothoracic Surgery Critical Care
Atlantic Health, one of New Jersey's largest non‑profit healthcare networks, is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Professional (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to lead Clinical Education for Cardiothoracic Surgery Critical Care at Morristown Medical Center.
Responsibilities
Lead clinical education initiatives for a team of 22 Advanced Practice Professionals within the Cardiothoracic Surgery Critical Care Unit.
Train new team members and support the continued growth of the open‑heart program.
Provide direct patient care as a fully clinical professional, including central line, arterial line, and chest tube placement, point‑of‑care ultrasound, and CSU‑ALS procedures.
Work full‑time 12‑hour shifts with scheduling based on departmental needs; requires weekend and night rotations.
Qualifications
Master’s degree.
Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program and licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey.
ACLS and BLS certification.
Minimum of 5 years of NP or PA experience in cardiothoracic critical care surgery.
Leadership experience preferred.
Excellent communication, computer skills, strong work ethic, and team‑player with ability to work independently.
