Transportation Coordinator

JANUS et Cie has an opening for a Transportation Coordinator. The candidate will be responsible for the coordination of outbound freight movement and ensuring that product is delivered on schedule.

This position is on-site at our Santa Fe Springs, CA facility.
Hourly Range: $24-$26 DOE
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Organize regular shipments and identify cost effective shipping methods
• Identify cost-saving transportation opportunities
• Coordinate delivery of shipment
• Resolve any problems such as damage, delivery of incorrect product, short ships, etc. to client
• Review and approve freight bills
• Assist Account Coordinators and Sales Specialists with lead time questions and outbound schedules
• Maintain spreadsheets/logs with status of outbound orders
• Manage information flow between JANUS et Cie and final mile delivery agents including receipt of product, delivery schedules, and proof of deliveries
Education and Experience
• B.A degree preferred
• Ability to negotiate pricing
• The ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems related to shipping and delivery of products
• Effectively communicate with various departments and provided needed information in a timely manner
• Experience analyzing and presenting xywuqvp information to top management
• Ability to read complex documents
• Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and the ability to learn Accounting software
