Associate Photographer – San Fernando Valley / La Habra, CA

Role:
Associate Photographers are the talented and versatile team responsible for media collection for Homes.com and Apartments.com, creating virtual tours, floorplans, and photography for residential homes. Equipped with a top‑of‑the‑line Pro 3 Matterport, digital camera equipment, and an iPad, they capture 3‑D virtual tours, floor plans, and marketing photography. Each photographer serves a core territory, works with assigned appointments, and collaborates with clients, sales associates, logistics, and management. Remote supervision is provided by a local Photography Manager.

Responsibilities:

Support marketing efforts on Homes.com and Apartments.com by capturing high‑quality 3‑D virtual tours and footprints.

Create a portfolio of photographs to best feature homes and apartments, utilizing photography techniques to showcase spaces pleasingly.

Work closely with scheduling and dispatch teams to maximize appointments and meet client demands.

Communicate professionally with clients, sales, researcher partners, and management to evaluate priorities, initiatives, and tasks.

Maintain commercial real estate data coverage by navigating one‑mile square grids to identify new inventory, missing availability, and properties for photography.

Abide by CoStar safety standards to safeguard equipment and the company vehicle, represent CoStar professionally, and participate in conference calls with sales and research teams as needed.

Physical Requirements:
Repetitive and frequent sitting in a car, standing and walking up to 8 hours per day, lifting and maneuvering equipment up to 5 pounds, repetitive hand and arm movements using a tablet or laptop and operating camera equipment, occasional bending, stooping, squatting, lifting, twisting, and carrying, ability to work and drive outside during all seasons, and ability to work weekends on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications:

At least 2 years of professional experience in real‑estate photography.

Experience as a professional photographer or a recent degree in photography.

Drone photography experience with a FAA Part 107 License/Certification obtained within 30 days of offer.

Strong time‑management skills, highly detail oriented, and capable of accurately capturing and entering data.

Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.

Knowledge of Windows, Apple OS, Microsoft Office, and Internet applications.

Enjoys working independently in a fast‑paced environment; field experience preferred.

Current and valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record, and responsible driving history.

Compensation:
Hourly plus bonus‑eligible position. The hourly wage is equivalent to $54,000–$55,000 annually, with opportunities for monthly bonuses based on performance metrics.
