Overview
GardaWorld Security Services is now hiring a Surveillance Security Officer. You will be responsible for monitoring security systems and identifying threats to prevent escalation in environments such as security operations centers, call centers, and parking gatehouses. Your strong observation skills and attention to detail are essential.
Responsibilities
Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.
Walk, stand, sit, or climb stairs for long periods as needed.
Document observed events and incidents with detailed reports.
Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
Conduct regular patrols to ensure the safety of the premises.
Control access to secure areas and verify the identities of visitors.
Analyze security systems to identify vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
Collaborate with law enforcement in serious situations or emergencies.
Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
Qualifications
Must have a VALID IL PERC.
Must have a VALID driver’s license.
Be authorized to work in the U.S.
Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED.
Be able to pass an extensive screening process.
Strong report writing skills.
Sharp visual activity and exceptional concentration skills.
Strong proficiency with technology.
Security, Military, or Law Enforcement experience is a plus.
State license if required.
Work Environment
This position may require working outdoors for extended periods and exposure to varying weather conditions, including rain, snow, sleet, hail, and extreme temperatures. Employees must be able to perform essential job functions in these conditions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Benefits and Schedule
Site Location: Aurora, IL
Set schedule: 2 shifts available
Shift 1: Full time, Wednesday through Sunday, 3rd shift, 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Shift 2: Full time, Thursday through Sunday, 2nd shift, 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Monday, 3rd shift, 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Competitive hourly wage of $19.50/hour (DailyPay is available for GardaWorld employees).
