Manager, Digital and eCommerce - CHEF'STORE (Hybrid: Onsite and Remote)

About the Role
Manager of Digital and eCommerce will manage the team responsible for eCommerce sales, including click‑and‑collect and third‑party delivery sites such as Instacart. The role also leads email and paid search initiatives, and oversees the online customer experience. The ideal candidate is a proven driver of online sales and a passionate leader of people.

Work Setting
Hybrid. Onsite at the corporate headquarters in Rosemont, IL or West Linn offices, 3 days a week (Tuesday‑Thursday) with virtual days on Monday and Friday.

Responsibilities

Develop digital marketing strategy by studying economic indicators, tracking changes in supply and demand, identifying customers and their current and future needs, and monitoring competitors in the industry.

Continuously seek to optimize content, campaigns, processes, and metrics. Make recommendations for improvements and efficiency opportunities, leveraging data insights, research, agency recommendations and competitive assessments.

Plan and execute all web, Search Engine Optimization, email sends, website copy and content.

Manage all digital marketing channels (e.g., website copy, blogs, email, product related data) to ensure brand consistency.

Contribute to marketing effectiveness by identifying short‑term and long‑range issues that must be addressed.

Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).

Identify trends and insights and optimize spend and performance based on the insights.

Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies through digital marketing.

Use data to make informed decisions through A/B testing to optimize the customer’s path to purchase.

Collaborate with the creative team to create landing pages and optimize user experience.

Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end‑to‑end customer experience across multiple channels and touchpoints.

Identify critical conversion points and drop‑off points to optimize user funnels.

Complete digital marketing department operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees of partner agencies and following up on work results.

Maintain digital marketing staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.

Effectively lead a team to accomplish departmental and company goals.

Maintain oversight and management of all outside agencies (including SEO, email, and digital advertising).

Develop digital marketing staff and agencies by providing information, educational opportunities and experiential growth opportunities.

Relationships
Internal: interact with all employees at all levels of responsibility throughout the company, including Senior Leadership Team, Merchandising, Construction, New Store Support, Pricing and Customer Experience.

External: interact with customers and other service providers.

Qualifications

Education/Training: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing or a related field.

Related Experience: Minimum 3‑5 years in digital marketing, particularly with CX and eCommerce responsibility.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate.

Creating and maintaining client relationships.

Coaching and subordinate involvement.

Managing processes.

Self‑motivated yet customer‑focused.

Proficient in marketing research and statistical analysis.

P&L responsibility for owned areas and contractual spends.

Familiar with financial planning and strategy.

Demonstratable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, paid search and/or display advertising campaigns.

Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels.

Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments.

Solid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMRush, Google AdWords, Google Merchant Center, Salesforce Marketing Cloud).

Working knowledge of ad serving tools.

Experience in setting up and optimizing PPC campaigns on all major search engines.

This role will also receive an annual incentive plan bonus.

Compensation
The expected base rate for this role is between $75,000 and $125,000.
