Job Title: Mammography Technologist Location: Salinas, CA – 93901 Duration: 13 Weeks (Extension Possible) Shift: Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Monday–Friday + Rotating Saturdays Pay: $80/hr - $90/hr -W2 Travel Pay: $3500 - $3850 Gross weekly |40hr/week Other Available Location: San Marcos, CA - 92078 La Mesa, CA - 91942 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join a high-performing radiology team. This role operates under the supervision of the Mammography Supervisor and Manager, delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging while ensuring compliance with industry standards including ACR, MQSA, and The Joint Commission. Key Responsibilities Perform mammography and bone density (DEXA) procedures in accordance with established protocols. Assist Radiologists with needle localization, stereotactic biopsy, and galactogram procedures. Review patient history and physician orders prior to imaging; identify and escalate discrepancies. Educate patients on procedures and ensure accurate, complete documentation. Operate imaging equipment using proper radiation safety standards and technical protocols. Prepare and submit imaging studies for timely interpretation. Support Quality Assurance (QA) activities related to mammography and bone density. Monitor patient condition and report any changes to Radiologist or Lead Technologist. Assist with scheduling and workflow coordination. Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and compliance initiatives. Required Qualifications At least 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist. Minimum 6–12 months of Epic experience within the past year (Required). Completion of a 2-year AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program. Active CRT (R) (M) and ARRT (R) certifications. BLS (AHA Healthcare Provider) certification.
