Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution of capital equipment and turnkey packaging projects from order through final delivery and payment. This role requires strong coordination across internal teams and customers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with customer expectations. This is a highly visible, customer-facing role that requires both technical understanding and strong organizational discipline.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Execution & Delivery
● Own full lifecycle execution of projects from order intake through installation, commissioning, and final payment
● Manage multiple concurrent projects (typically 1–4) ranging from small installations to large integrated solutions
● Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and deliverables
● Coordinate internal resources across engineering, service, operations, and sales
Customer & Stakeholder Management
● Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during project execution
● Build and maintain strong customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle
● Communicate project updates, risks, and milestones clearly and proactively
Cross-Functional Coordination
● Collaborate closely with engineering, service, purchasing, and German headquarters teams
● Ensure alignment between technical specifications, timelines, and customer requirements
● Support trade show and booth installation projects as needed
Project Controls & Systems
● Track project progress using internal systems/ tools (MS Dynamics, Teamcenter, CAD)
● Monitor costs, timelines, and risks to ensure successful delivery
● Identify and escalate issues proactively, driving resolution
● ERP systems experience
Education & Experience
● Strong technical background
● 3-5 years of project management experience
● Able to read complex facilities layouts and plans
● Packaging industry experience strongly preferred
Skills & Competencies
● Strong organizational and project planning skills
● Excellent communication and customer-facing abilities
● Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capability
● Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
● Working knowledge of engineering and sales processes
● Collaborative mindset with cross-functional teams
Work Environment & Travel
● Initial training required onsite in Norcross, GA
● Travel to Germany for FAT trials with customers
● Hybrid work flexibility based on project needs
● Travel required up to 50% of the time.
