Position Overview
As

Managing Veterinarian

, you will:
Provide
medical leadership and ensure the highest standards of patient care.
Mentor
and support associate veterinarians and medical staff.
Partner
with the Hospital Manager to drive operational excellence, financial
performance, and team development.
Cultivate
a positive, collaborative culture that promotes exceptional client service
and staff satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Advancing Medical Care
Oversee
medical and surgical cases to ensure quality outcomes and client
satisfaction.
Establish
and maintain hospital medical standards and protocols.
Support
client communication and education throughout the care process.
Manage
medical inventory and control costs effectively.
Leadership and Team Development
Participate
in recruiting, training, and mentoring veterinarians and staff.
Conduct
performance evaluations and provide professional guidance.
Ensure
all medical staff receive appropriate training and continuing education.
Partner
with the Hospital Manager on staff development and compliance programs.
Financial and Operational Management
Support
the hospital’s financial health through efficient operations and strategic
growth.
Participate
in annual planning and budgeting.
Monitor
key performance indicators and implement improvements where needed.
Practice Growth and Community Engagement
Foster
client loyalty and encourage community involvement.
Embrace
innovation and change that enhances patient care and team performance.
Support
marketing and growth initiatives aligned with hospital goals.
Qualifications
Doctor
of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
Active
veterinary license in good standing in the state of Michigan.
Proven
leadership experience within a veterinary setting preferred.
Strong
interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
