
Ranked ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE CLINICAL PROFESSOR / UMKC SCHOOL of NURSING & HEALTH

The School of Nursing and Health Studies at the University of Missouri‑Kansas City seeks applications for a 9‑month ranked, non‑tenure track Assistant Clinical Professor or Associate Clinical Professor, to teach a variety of didactic and clinical courses within our undergraduate BSN program.
Responsibilities
Teach in the undergraduate program (full‑time).
Provide service appropriate to the position.
Advance the goals of the School of Nursing and the University of Missouri‑Kansas City’s Strategic Plan.
Remain current in clinical practice.
Provide guidance in the application of technology to nursing.
Qualifications
To be considered for the ranked non‑tenure track position of Associate Clinical Professor, a PhD or DNP in nursing or related field is required. For the Assistant Clinical Professor position, a minimum earned master’s degree in nursing or related field is required. In addition to those degrees, candidates must have:
At least five years of clinical expertise in adult medical/surgical nursing.
A record of quality teaching and service appropriate to the rank.
Expertise in applying technology, including computer skills, to nursing.
Eligibility for licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Missouri.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
The ability to work collaboratively with faculty and student teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Clinical experience and/or expertise in pre‑licensure baccalaureate clinical/lab education related to critical care and/or psychiatric nursing.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation is commensurate with rank, qualifications/credentials, instructional experience and prior research practice. This is a full‑time, benefit‑eligible, 9‑month, ranked non‑tenure track position eligible for promotion.
