Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Services Medical Director and Department Director, the Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing cardiopulmonary care services in accordance with physician orders, department policies and procedures.
Education
Certificate from an accredited Respiratory Care Program
Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy (Preferred)
Experience
Minimum 0‑3 months as a Graduate Respiratory Therapist, board eligible
Current State of Florida License
Licenses, Certifications& Registrations
National Board Registered in Respiratory Care
Current State of Florida License as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
CPR Certification
Specialized Knowledge and Skills
Basic computer knowledge
Ability to use ABG machine (drawing and analysis)
Non‑invasive O2 saturation monitoring
Ventilators
EKG
24‑hour Holter monitor
Treadmill stress tests
Pulmonary function testing
CPAP & BIPAP machines
Aerosol delivery devices
Chest physical therapy and postural drainage
